Missing you!

I have not posted in a few days and I am missing all of you and my craft desk! The sun has been out and I have been spending so much needed time in the yard and at the park with the kids! I did create this with the amazing project life app! I love it, this has got to be one of the best and fastest ways to create some great pages!
I will be back at it tomorrow with some great project!

More Clean & Simple

HAPPY FRIDAY! We have made it though the week! I don't know about you but I always look forward to the weekend, it means more time with the family and some relaxing on Sunday.

I am now ready for my beginners class, today I finished my last card for my gals. I try and create clean & simple cards for them. I focused this card on all the wonderful FREE items Stampin Up have to offer right now during Sale-A-Bration. I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches

Clean & Simple Birthday

I am really scrambling this week, I just feel like I can not get caught up, do you ever feel like you are consistently on the go but getting nothing done? That is me this week, thank goodness it is almost over. A few days ago I mentioned needing to get my beginners class planned and cut for well I am finally getting it together and class in only a week away. SHHHH don't tell!

I used the sketch from MOJO Monday and came up with a clean & simple Birthday card for the group. Some of the gals in the class are almost ready to move up to my regular classes so I will be having them use the Big Shot for embossing & cutting this class.

Triple Time Thank You

I hope that everyone is having a great start to the week. I had a great meeting last night and will be gearing up for some great classes to showcase all the fun new items from the Occasion Catalog and the FREE items you can get with a $50 order in the Sale*A*Brations catalog.

Today's card is one I have note done in awhile, Triple Time Stamping technique. The Friday Mashup was my inspiration, to create a project with the "Triple Layer Technique", Create a project that's "Floral" or Mash it Up! and create a "Floral Triple Layer Project". I decided to Mash it Up. I also chose to use different colors for my layers, I am liking how it turned out. Can you tell I really like this stamp set, I am not usually a "flower" kind of stamper but this set is very pretty.

Make It Monday

Happy Monday!

I am excited to see my Stampin Gals tonight for our monthly BZB meeting. We are doing a swap and a contest this month so I wanted to do something a little different for my swap. I love making cards and saw this great shutter card from Stampin Texas and just knew this is what I wanted to make, she made it super easy with her great tutorial on YouTube. I will be making more of these and will be adding this card to my March classes.
Here is the card closed with the cute belly band. I used the Designer Paper called Best Year Ever that is FREE during Sale*A*Brations with a $50 order.

Here is what it looks like inside, as you open the card the "shutter" opens to reveal the message.

Pretty Cool Huh!

Simple Sunday

Each Sunday I am going to start sharing some simple cards, I want to show that you can create great cards without a lot of fuss. I am usually looking at my cards thinking what can I add to make this better but I have learned that simple can be just as good.

My first Simple Sunday card I created using two different challenges, Match this Sketch & Colour Me. I only used one punch on this card and just a few cuts of some paper and came up with this.

Valentines is Just Around the Corner

ITS FRIDAY, ITS FRIDAY, YA YA YA.
I am super excited about it being Friday, can you tell? It has been one of those weeks that has felt like it was just dragging by. I am excited to meet a friend for coffee tomorrow morning and give her her Stampin UP order and a little extra treat from me.

So Valentines Day is just around the corner, like 3 weeks or something. I have never been big on the holiday as I don't think I need a day to show my husband I love him, however, it is always nice to get flowers.

I created today's card using the MOJO Monday sketch, as this is one of my staples or go to's when needing a sketch. I used the Stacked with Love paper packs along with the stamp set You Plus Me which both are from the Occasions Catalog.

My Secret Sister Makes Me Happy

Happy Wednesday - HUMP DAY!
I join a Secret Sister group about 6 months ago and I love it, each year we get a new secret sister to spoil. We send one card a month and then on their birthday we send a box of goodies. I love making cards each month to send and I usually send a little something extra since most of it is handmade.

I used the sketch from Sunday Stamps, I normally do not use this many layers on a card but I wanted to make sure I featured each of the colors in the Sweet Dreams Designer Paper. I am loving all the wonderful new papers from the Occasions Catalog.

I used the heart from the stamp set Perfect Pennants & cut it out with the Hearts A Flutter Framelits, it was not an exact fit but it was close enough, what do you think?

Big Day Birthday's

I am a little tired this morning after being up late to watch that amazing game. Were you happy or disappointed about the game? I am not going to lie, I am disappointed that the Ducks could not pull out the win, however win or lose they had a great season. Now that football season is coming to an end that means NASCAR is only like 39 days away!

So yesterday was my husbands birthday also and today's card is the one I made for him, I know some of you make think it to not be very masculine but I really like the way it came out. I got my inspiration from The Paper Players color challenge and Create with Connie & Mary sketch. I do not use the Sahara Sand very often but I think I will start, it is a great contrast color.

I stamped the image with Lost Lagoon first then with the Crisp Cantaloupe and fussy cut it out to add some layer to the card. I used the Basic Metal Button & Linen Thread, which I see now I did not wrap very well but that's what gives it a little character. I used the Stamp set BIG DAY, which is FREE from the Sale-A-Bration brochure with a $50 purchase. I am so in love with all the items this year!

Perpetual Birthday Calendar

I apologize for being late with this post. I made the Perpetual Birthday Calender for my grandmother so I wanted to find the birthdays of her brothers and sisters and parents to put on it for her. I started looking into our family history on Ancestry and boy was I surprised at what I found. I have spent the last several days building my family tree and have found some great things, like the boat manifest from my great grandfather coming to the US from Ireland. It has been mind boggling.

I also will also be holding a class on Feb. 7th @ 10am for anyone who would like to make a Calender, maybe you will do some hunting of your own.

Here it is

I am super excited to fill this in and give it to my grandmother for her birthday in March!
Who in your family would appreciate this little gem?
