Saying Goodbye & Three Challenges

Today is the day.....the last day you can get FREE shipping on your orders from Stampin' UP so don't miss out, check out my Online Store.

Today I have used a few items that will be retiring, not just the stamp set Fabulous Florets but the Strips Embossing folder will be retiring as well this year. I am not one to use too many flowers in my projects but this stamp set is beautiful and can be used so many ways, I did have to fussy cut the flower out so I could make it pop. I used the sketch from Retro Sketches, SUO Challenge was to feature flowers & The Colour Q for color inspiration. The more I look at this card the more I like it, my swap mate is sure to like it.
Supplies Used:
CS: Elegant Eggplant, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake & Whisper White
Ink: Elegant Eggplant, Daffodil Delight & Pear Pizzazz; Stamp Set: Fabulous Florets
Accessories: Stripes Embossing Folder, Bitty Butterfly punch, Basic Rhinestones

The Birthday Blues

Happy Thursday! As this week comes to a close I am getting super excited for Monday as I will get to attend the Stampin' UP Catalog Premier, I can't wait. I have been going through my stamp sets and pulling out the ones that will retire at the end of May and want to make sure I showcase them for my classes. I have used my go to birthday set Bring on the Cake. I created this card for my stepson who will be 29 this year.

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches & the inspiration came from Colour Me Challenge. After making this card I have decided to include this in my Beginners Class next month as it is super simple yet uses a few tools that I think are MUST haves such as the Big Shot & Magnetic Plate. I also used the 1" square punch to create the banner.
Supplies Used:
CS: Pacific Point, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Tempting Turquoise & Whisper White
Ink: Pacific Point & Coastal Cabana; Stamp Set: Bring on the Cake
Accessories: Ovals Collection Framelits, 1" Square Punch

A few quick reminders:

FREE SHIPPING ends tomorrow so get your items while you can save some money!

RETIRED LIST, remember these items are only available while supplies last so get your favorites before they are gone.

Hello & Goodbye

As I sat at my desk and looked at all the stamps sets that will be retiring, I found myself not really that surprised to see a few go since they have been with us for quite some time. This week I will be showcasing the sets that will be retiring and one of my favorite stamp sets that is My Friend, this set works so well for many styles.

I designed my card based off the sketch from Sketch Saturday, I knew right away what stamp set I would use for this and the colors since they will be retiring also.
Supplies Used:
CS: Midnight Muse, Raspberry Ripple & Whisper White
Ink: Midnight Muse & Raspberry Ripple; Stamp Set: My Friend
Accessories: Bitty Butterfly Punch & Basic Rhinestones

A few Announcements to Make!

Happy Easter to all of my wonderful readers, i hope you will have an amazing day with family and friends and all the kiddos hunting those eggs. I have alot of information to share today!

All products related to the 2012-2014 In Colors will be retiring soon – stamp pads, ink refills, markers, card stock, ribbons, dahlias, designer papers – they will sell out fast so stock up on your favorite colors.

Today is the last day to enter in my contest to guess what stamp sets you think will be retiring. Please leave your guess HERE.
If I had to pick one I was the saddest to lose it would probably be Raspberry Ripple, which has already sold out of the ink pads :(  although I am sad about all of them being retired, but that just means new colors to love! Which one are you saddest about?

Just in time to coincide with the release of the Retirement List, Stampin' Up has announced a free shipping week for Monday, April 21st through midnight on Friday, April 25th. ALL orders placed during this week will not be charged shipping or handling fees, only tax, making it a fabulous time to have some goodies sent straight to your doorstep!

When you're getting your order together, make sure you put any retiring stamp sets, colors, or accessories at the very top of your priority list, because ALL of them are "first come, first served" this year. When they are gone, they're gone! The Retirement List will come out Monday, April 21st and I will post it here and on Happy Stampin Facebook Page as soon as I get it.

Here is a little more insight about Project Life from Becky Higgins, you can check out her blog HERE

Last but not least, the card I have made is inspired by Sketch Frenzy Friday, I also have a very similiar card as Kathy this week but I wanted to make sure and use my Raspberry Ripple since it will be retiring, I will be using it alot I am sure.

BIG NEWS!!!! from Stampin UP

I am super excited about this amazing partnership!

Get ready for a scrapbooking revolution with Project Life! It helps busy people (so basically all of us) document life using photos and journaling in a quick, simple, and fabulous way. Stampin' Up! has partnered with Becky Higgins, creator of Project Life, to offer a complete line of elite products.

"Becky explains, "It's called Project LIFE because it's about YOUR LIFE. Whatever your life is. Whatever your stage of life. Whatever your family circumstances. Whatever your lifestyle. Project Life is designed to help anyone and everyone get their pictures into a book."  In a nutshell, it's all about spending more time making memories and less time scrapbooking them."

You will be able to order a selection of Project Life products starting May 1. And with the launch of Stampin' Up!'s new annual catalog on June 2, you'll be able to buy from the complete line of Project Life products!

  • Coordination, coordination, coordination. You know Stampin' Up! does it best, and the Project Life line is no exception.
  • Our products center on things that matter most-weddings, babies, kids, and the everyday moments of getting together with your favorite people-all things that need to be remembered.
  • Our card collections come without rounded corners so you can decide if you want to keep them that way (and match the corners of your photos as they come) or use our Project Life Corner Punch to round them out.
  • Our card collections come packaged in an exclusive storage system that holds all your Project Life supplies on your desk: cards, journaling pens, photos, accessory packs, stamp sets, and more.

Life's Little Lesson

I find myself thinking, I wish things were better, different or simpler and then I look around and see all the wonderful things I have to be thankful for. I have some many great things in my life and I need to be reminded "Life doesn't have to be perfect to be wonderful". I made this card for myself in away, I did not use many accessories or embellishments as a reminder that the simple things in life are still just as wonderful and the little extra we are blessed with.

I created the card based on the MOJO Monday Sketch and I also used the color combo from Around the World Stampin' UP Challenges
Supplies Used:
CS: Gumball Green, Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry
Ink: Bermuda Bay & Gumball Green; Stamp Set: Papillon Potpourri & Perfect Pennants
Accessories: Elegant Butterfly & Scallop Edge Punches
