Single Layer Challenge

The weekend is almost here! Any big plans for weekend?

Today's card was a BIG Challenge for me, Single Layer Valentines card from The Paper Players 179. I have not done a single layer card in a really long time, I may not have ever. I have to admit I sat at my desk on Pinterest and Google for awhile searching for ideas which leads to spending way too much time being wasted. I then looked over at my stamp sets and just grabbed a few and went to work. It was super simple if I just did not think about it too much.

It is "HUMP DAY", that means we are half way to Friday YAY!

Today cards is created using Fusion Card Challenge #2 sketch. This was a simple and quick card to make, and fun. When I saw the sketch I knew right away what I was going to do with flip flopping the colors. I was unsure of what colors to use until I say the Epic Day This and That paper still sitting on my desk from yesterdays card.

More Birthday's

Happy Tuesday Everyone! I hope your week is off to a good start.

I started working on my Birthday cards for February today, I only have 6 to make this month. I started with some man cards as 5 of them will go to men this month. One of them is my dad so I started with his. My dad is a wonderful man and will be taking my place this weekend and supporting my daughter at her cheer competition in Bellevue, WA.

I chose a sketch from Try Stampin on Tuesday's. I used the washi tape for my banners. Another little confession: this is the first time I have used any washi tape on a card, I have lots of it but just have not pulled it out yet until now. I have to say I LOVED it, super easy to use!

Supplies Used: Basic Gray Carstock
Epic Day This & That DSP & Washi tape
Stamp set: Label Love
Artisan Label punch.

Love is in the Air.

Hope everyone is having a fantastic Monday! I have a super busy week as I get ready for surgery next Monday. I know that I am probably stressing more than I need to but that is just me.

I was surfing the web this weekend looking for inspiration for my Valentines cards I want to make and send this year and found The Friday Mashup 143. I thought is was ironic that 143 is a code for I Love You between my husband and I. When we first got together you needed a code while at work together since it was a big secret at the time so we choose "143" because 1 letter, 4 letters, 3 letters, spelled I love you and here we are 14 years later and still say it to each other. I took it as a sign that this was the challenge for me and made 2 cards from it. On the second card I also used Clean & Simple sketch 276

Getting Ready for Valentines Day

I hope everyone has had a great weekend and I hope your Team won! I have not paid much attention to the games as I have been crafting. I did hear my husband yelling at the TV some :).

Today's card was creating using the Mojo Mondays Sketch 328. I am getting an early start on my Valentines this year as I will have my hand in a cast starting the 27th of this month for 2 weeks. No too excited for the surgery and I am super sad that my crafting will have to be neglected.

Cheer Season Has Started

Today I am off to the first cheer competition of the season for my daughter. It will be my life each weekend until the end of March. This is her second year competing on a All-Star Cheer team for Wolfpack Athletics. I am really glad she has join this amazing family, they have been the best supports of my daughter in all aspects of her life.
When our Family of wolfs gets to a competition we take over an entire section and it is a sea of Pink & Black, it really is amazing!

I made these little goody bags for each of the girls to have as a quick sugar rush as the day can get very long and tiring.  I am very proud to be a "Pack Mom"
Hope you all Have a fantastic weekend and enjoy your Sunday with Family. Sunday is my husbands birthday so we will be having family dinner.

Hexagon Fun

I have a confession..... I just put this stamp set together TODAY. I love this stamp set and when I say it in the catalog I just had to have it, that was like 6 months ago.  Don't be surprised if the next few cards are using this set.

I was in need of a few thank you cards that I could wipe up fast and I found a very clean and simple sketch from Freshly Made Sketches that I just loved. When I make thank you cards I like to use bright colors as it seems more cheery :)

MOJO 327

I have gotten to sit at my desk and craft with the cold wet weather we are having, we do need the rain bad here in Oregon but I do not like it much. I would rather see snow, although I am sure the eastern part of the country would trade me.

Today's challenge card is from the Mojo Monday Blog, this is an oldie but goodie. I have been following this blog for along time and have gotten so many wonderful ideas from all the crafters that play along. I really enjoy checking out all the post and seeing all the different ideas that people come up with from just a simple sketch.
Here is my take on the MOJO327:

Supplies Used: Daffodil Delight, Gumball Green, Calypso Coral card stock, Epic Day This & That DSP
Mosaic Madness & Happy Day Stamp set

Addicted to Challenges

Good morning my fellow stampers & crafters! I have been loving all the challenges out there, I have found so many great ones which has inspired me to do lots of creating this week already and it is only Wednesday.

Today card comes from Stylin' Stampin' INKspiration and Try Stampin on Tuesday. I have to admit I have not used So Saffron in awhile so I pulled it out and dusted it off. I am loving Bermuda Bay so I have lots of it laying on my desk :) I am always in need of Just because cards to give out when I see an act of kindness that deserve some acknowledgement. I always keep a few in my purse for just that reason. I really enjoy handing out cards to people, it really puts a smile on their face and mine. I lived the mixed bunch stamp set and coordinating punch, I was super glad to see it stick around in the 2013-2014 catalog.
Supplied Used: Primrose Petals, So Saffron, Bermuda Bay Card Stock & Ink pads,

All Smiles

Today's card is after two different challenges again, I have found some really great ones over the weekend. I was able to sit at my desk most of Sunday and create, which is very rare in my house. I am very happy that the kids are back to school from winter break and we are getting back to the normal schedule.
The two Challenges I followed are Create with Connie & Mary and Fusion Card Challenge. I link the colors together A LOT and the sketch was very clean and simple, which I LOVE also.

I am apart of a International Swap Group in which we receive a name to make and send a card too. I really enjoy getting mine in the mail. It is exciting to see what Country my card has come from. This month I will mail one card to Utah and another to Canada. I have gotten cards from New Zealand & Australia in the past. I am very thankful to Christine for putting this group together.

Supplies Used: Strawberry Slush, Bermuda Bay & Black CS

True Friends

Today's card is created using two different challenges, Dynamic Duos & The Friday Mash Up. I would not have even thought about using Summer Starfruit & Garden Green together.... I think they compliment each other quite well don't you?

I needed a card for a dear friend of mine in which I have not seen in a very long time, almost a year.... She has had a sweet little girl about 5 months ago and I still have yet to meet her :( I know I will soon. We have been friends for a very long time and even though we do not talk as much as we should she is still my best friend and always will be. I remember when we would both get grounded and write letters to each other and then trade them at school when we got to see each other, I still have the letters and envelopes.

Supplies Used: Summer Starfruit, Garden Green & White CS, Garden Green DSP

That's The Ticket!

As I sat at my desk trying to come up with one more birthday card for January I found myself on Pinterest. I tend to spend too much time there when I am looking for an idea and then get lost in all its wonders! I did however find this from I Teach Stamping and knew I had to CASE it. I am always inspired by her creations.

I love this stamp set for many reason but mainly for its cuteness! It can be used for Birthday's, Christmas, Halloween, Valentines Day and even for baby cards.

Supplies Used: Rich Razzleberry Cardstock, Sycamore Street DSP (last years Sale*A*Bration)
Tangerine Tango Stampin Pad

Clean & Simple

I hope you all had a fantastic week, I am sure glad the weekend is here. Today I am off to see my side of the family for our holiday get together. I know a little late but we do it the weekend after the holidays to make it less stressful on everyone. I remember the days when we had to travel all day long to make sure we got too spend time with both sides of the family. It was always so stressful worrying about what time it was to make sure we made the next stop. Now we get to relax and enjoy ourselves and our family members which is always better!

Today's card is designed after the Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge. I love it when I can find a clean and simple sketch when I have lots of cards that need to be made for Birthdays. I am really loving the color combo I choose also,  Rich Razzleberry & Bermuda Bay really compliment each other don't you think?

Birthday's Galore!

I have been working on birthday cards for all my loved ones who will celebrate their day this month and I needed some inspiration. I went searching for a sketch and found Around the World Stampin UP Challenges  and knew this was the one! I love the banner look and a simple sketch is just what I needed for my uncle. I have used the Gingham Garden DSP, I love this paper because of its versatility as one side is great for girls with lots of flowers and the other has great single color pattern which is great for guys.
Supplies used: Night of Navy card stock, Gingham Garden DSP
stamp set: Label Love, Artisan Label punch & Mini brads.

Oh happy Day

One of my New Years Resolutions this year is to mail more cards! I try each year to send Birthday cards to those I remember. Today I sat down and made a calendar for each month and listed all the Birthday down so that at the end of each month I will make as many cards as I need to and get them out in the mail by the first of the month. January has 9 Birthdays, one in which is my husband.

This card is for my brother in law. He is a wonderful person and has always been there to help when we have needed it, in many ways.
Supplies used: Midnight Muse Cardstock, Parkers Pattern dsp,
Chevron embossing folder, Apothecary Accents Framelits
Happiest Birthday Wishes stamp set.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you all! I hope you had a safe and wonderful New Years Eve.
Today I have been working at my desk getting ready to start 2014 off right. I hope to have lots of fun posts for you to see. I am excited about the Sale*A*Bration catalog that is coming out soon.

Today's card is designed after Freshly Made Sketches 117. I have to say this was a tough one for me because I love to have lots of layers on my cards. I am trying to make cards that are a little more simple so the class quests are not so overwhelmed when they get done.

I have used some of last years Sale*A*Bration DSP called Sycamore Street which is still on of my favorites because of all the amazing color combos it offers.

I really like this color combo!
Have a fantastic New Years!
