Some Happy News and some not so Happy News

I have a few quick announcement today.

Stampin' Up! had recently been working with the manufacturer to try to resolve a quality issue with these alcohol-based markers.  Unfortunately, they have not been able to come up with a long-term solution that meets their high-quality standards.  Therefore, after a great deal of deliberation and in order to prevent further disappointment, the Blendabilities product line has been discontinued.

The Memento Tuxedo Black Ink & Refill Ink will still be available

On a better note, Stampin' Up! has just released a funny new stamp set that's perfect for "old" friends!  Just Kidding (#140667) is available now, while supplies last, so head on over to my shop now link and check it out.

Last but not least, the weekly deals are here!

Valentines is Just Around the Corner

ITS FRIDAY, ITS FRIDAY, YA YA YA.
I am super excited about it being Friday, can you tell? It has been one of those weeks that has felt like it was just dragging by. I am excited to meet a friend for coffee tomorrow morning and give her her Stampin UP order and a little extra treat from me.

So Valentines Day is just around the corner, like 3 weeks or something. I have never been big on the holiday as I don't think I need a day to show my husband I love him, however, it is always nice to get flowers.

I created today's card using the MOJO Monday sketch, as this is one of my staples or go to's when needing a sketch. I used the Stacked with Love paper packs along with the stamp set You Plus Me which both are from the Occasions Catalog.

Freshly Made Thanksgiving

Happy Sunday, it is cold and windy here in Oregon which I should be used to! I was very thankful for the extra hour of sleep this morning also!

I am getting ready for my family gathering at my house is a few weeks and wanted to send out cards to my family with the details. I also made a small box that has a little surprise for the kids. I used the sketch from Freshly made Sketches, it is one of my go to when I need some inspiration. I was not sure about the Blackberry Bliss & Crushed Curry together but I think it looks nice.

Fab Friday Challenge

Happy Wednesday to you! There are only 3 days left until Halloween, are you ready for the Trick-or-Treaters to be ringing your bell? I still need to go pick up a bag of candy to hand out. I am a little behind this year, I feel like I have been behind all year on things but I think I am headed back on the right track to staying focused. I am shooting for 4 blog post each week so be sure to stop by and see what amazing things are being created in my world!

Today's card I made for our holiday card swap, I belong to several swap groups each month. I have about 10-15 cards to make and send which is nice because I don't like to think that what I am making is just going to sit in a box somewhere.

I used the Fab Friday Sketch for my inspiration, I love Rich Razzleberry & Pumpkin Pie together and new I needed to use them for this card, I would normally also use a little Old Olive with the combo but decided against it this time.
Supplies Used:
CS&Ink: Pumpkin Pie & Rich Razzleberry

More Clean & Simple Cards For My Beginners

Happy Friday! It is going to be extremely HOT this weekend, and we don't have our pool anymore so I guess I will be sharing with my Little Lucy, not very big but it will work.

I am working on finishing my last few cards for my beginners class I hold each month. I really enjoy getting together with these ladies and sharing my love for crafting and showing them anyone one can do it. This is my favorite class because I get to watch them grow and move up to my other classes so I am always looking for Newbies :) (wink, wink, contact me to join in the fun)

I created today's card using the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch, I could not decide which stamp set to use at first since I only like to use one or two sets for the class so I can show the many ways it can be used. I have not used Geometrical very much so I thought it was time, this is what I came up with.
Supplies Used:
CS: Night of Navy, Pumpkin Pie & Whisper White
Ink: Night of Navy, Pool Party & Pumpkin Pie

I almost always like to add DSP to my projects so this has been a challenge for me. I went looking at Pinterest of course :) to get some ideas and oh boy I found alot so I was pretty excited to Case this one. Tomorrow I will show you a few others.

Swaps for Convention

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July, it is my favorite holiday! I love getting together with the family.

Today I have am finishing up my swaps for convention, I can't believe it is in 2 weeks, I am so excited, this will be my first one! I decided to make 100 swap cards so I wanted it to be a clean and simple design that would be easy to duplicate, many times! I have chosen to use the Work of Art stamp set and this is what I came up with but I will be using our Thick Bakers Twine instead of the ribbon.
Supplies Used:

Birthday Wishes

I know it has been a LONG time since I have posted anything, I have had a whirl wind of events take place and I am finally getting back on track.

I needed a Birthday card for a friends daughter and my granddaughter wanted to help, so we searched Google and found a card she like and wanted to make one just like it.  The card comes from Stampin Pretty back in 2008 but is a beautiful card.

This is what we came up with.
My granddaughter loves to create with me and give me ideas how how to make it pretty, She just loved the rhinestones.
