Happy Wednesday Night! I am a little late getting this out today, oops.

Today I have used the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch, This was a quick and simple card to make. I will be using this for my beginners class on the 3rd Thursday of the month. This month I am introducing the big shot to the group so I can show them the many, many ways it can be used that are very simple and fast. Stay tuned for more cards from this class. Banners and More Banners For Stampin Up Only Challenges

Happy Friday! I hope you had an amazing week!

Today's card was inspired by Stampin' UP Only Challenges Banner Fun. I used the Crushed Curry again for my base and the Kaleidoscope designer paper from the Occasion Catalog. I have not really played with the Banner Framelits until today and I will be playing with them a lot more!

Flower Shop Punch Trick!

Tricks are always Helpful! 

The Flower Shop image is a little tricky to get lined up because the petals are not symmetrical.  If you get the image into the punch the correct way, the white border is even all the way around the flower perfectly.  If it isn't even all the way around, it's not aligned right.

Punch Alignment TIPs: The easiest way I've found to quickly find the correct positioning was to mark my punch and my actual stamps with a Sharpie.  If you look closely, all of the petals are kind of heart-shaped with rounded tops.  But, there is one petal that has a flat, almost indented spot, and I use that as my marking point.  It's actually the petal that points toward the bottom of the punch, so that makes it easier, too!

Bubble Framelits Fun

It's HUMP DAY! 

Do you have the Word Bubbles Framelits yet?  If not you will be wanting them after you see this!! Oh my gosh, they are so much fun, with or without being paired up with the Just Sayin' stamp set!  The stamp set does have some great sayings.

I was impressed by a recent post on StampinUp.com by concept artist Melodie Hyde.  She was definitely thinking outside the box to come up with these ideas.

The many ways she used the Word Bubble Framelits:

To cut out bubble-shaped frames.

As a mask for a word bubble background.

As a stamp to apply VersaMark for an embossed resist technique.

To create a texture embossed word bubble element.

To make altered word bubble shapes.

Quick Tip: (which I realized after I did it) If you lay your top cutting plate over the entire framelit while you do this, you will likely have an embossed indentation in your card stock where it was laying over the framelit edge.  To avoid this, simply position your top cutting plate over ONLY the part of the framelit you are cutting.  In other words, the edge of your top cutting plate should fall in the middle of the word bubble.

Friday Mashup Crushed Curry!

I have to admit I was not too excited about the Crushed Curry color Stampin UP brought back. I am not a yellow kind of person, however I really liked the Summer Starfruit. When I say the Friday Mashup Challange I thought I would give it a chance and came up this card. I am loving the Starburst Dies they are so versatile and make great layers.

Fusion Hello

HAPPY MONDAY! My daughter comes home tonight I am so Excited!

Today cards is a super simple one, I used the sketch from Fusion Card Challenges. I love the Very Vintage Buttons. I was unsure of how to get the bottom cut just right so I just grabbed my paper snips and went for it and came up with this! This card only took me about 5 minutes to make. I am not one for super simple but am trying to be for my beginners class I just started. We meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month so if you would like to join us please email me. Freshly Made Sketches & Dynamic Duos!

Happy Sunday! I hope you have had a great weekend. I am missing my daughter as she has been gone for 4 days now. I get to pick her up from the airport tomorrow evening! So excited!

Today I made a few birthday cards to finish up my March birthdays list. I now have all 13 of them done. I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches & got my color inspiration from Dynamic Duos. I love the colors and this is a Clean & Simple Card, I love these kinds of cards.
